Senior Citizen Living: Preparing For The Baby Boomers
Everyone approaches aging differently, and for those who have achieved 0senior citizen0 status, the range of emotions can be quite overwhelming. Some seniors see their retirement years as the best of their lives; others deny that they are undergoing any major changes; and many of the elderly feel extremely insecure about their futures.
Regardless of their personal reactions to the inevitable fact of aging, people can take some responsibility for how they spend their golden years by doing what they can to remain mentally and physically fit.
Welcoming The Baby Boomers
Aging is a normal, and unavoidable, part of life, and the elderly are as entitled as everyone else to maximize every day they have. Medical advances, in fact, have meant that people are living longer than ever before. The Baby Boomer generation, born in the twenty years after World War II, is now entering retirement age, and they are an enormous political and economic force. The face of senior citizen living in the US is going to change dramatically to accommodate their wants and needs.
